As another in the series of hotels that make up the Hyatt hotel conglomerate, this hotel project is positioned as a new tourist attraction on the island of Barbados, the company’s ninth hotel in the Caribbean. The project includes a hotel with 380 rooms and 40 condominiums and adds other buildings between 10 and 18 stories high. In addition to the importance of opening up to the Caribbean Sea, it was also a challenge for our team to show the relationship of the complex in all directions. All the exterior facades of the street-facing buildings are treated in the same material way: open and closed windows that go from floor to ceiling. Towards the beach, the hotel is projected as a taller construction that stands out for a simpler treatment of continuous glazing and balconies that make the most of the incomparable views of the surroundings. For all this it seemed necessary to work the renderings from what existed to what was to come. Taking great care of the environment, the relationship with what exists is done with no tension and on site photography took on a preponderant role in these illustrations.
